Movies to soothe the soul: Safe Haven

On a relaxed night in Hong Kong, my best friend and I went to catch Safe Haven in a luxurious South East Asian Cinema. Only good memories are remembered from that evening. I am a sucker for down time. We’d only seen posters of the movie at every MTR terminal exit, so we went in having no idea what the movie would be about, except that Josh Duhamel was in it and it was probably a romance, and I guess that was enough for me (have you seen him in transformers?? Fergie is one lucky woman.) It was a beautiful romantic mystery and was the right balance of swooning/suspense. It took me a while to pin point where I’d seen the main girl from…

A tad old, but this is Jon Stewart (The Daily Show Host) confronting CNN’s show ‘Crossfire’ when it was still airing. From what I gather, he’s saying these guys are essentially siding with the political parties agendas by rambling on about trivial nonsense when they should be asking serious questions that reveal the true essence of a political figure to the American public, to which they have much influence over. And saying that Crossfire was a debate show was like “saying pro wrestling is a show about athletic competition.” Touché, Jon Stewart.

…to semi-quote Katy Perry. Days like this are the reason I love living in the sunshine state! An hour drive away from Brissy, perfect weather and great company -it was a mean day! It was super busy today which we should’ve expected seeing as it was a public holiday, everyone makin’ good use of their Easter Monday off! The creek itself was just off Palm Beach at the Gold Coast, and in my opinion was a much more run down, relaxed version of the neighbouring beach which I loved! Not to say I have any less love for coastline wave-crashing beaches! Tallebudgera was super cute!
